One week from this Sunday, we will be on the campus of University of Botswana, located in southern Africa. We will be staying in these residence halls with current UB graduate students as we learn about thermodynamics and their regional applications in Africa’s heat (right now, it’s 82 F, but it’ll be as low as 56 F during the evenings). We’ll be studying most of the days, but we will also get to take field trips around Africa! I am looking forward to the experience… but I guess I can probably wait for the basically 24 hour plane trips. A few of us have long layovers in London, so we’re hoping to be able to explore a new city as well!
